The International Workshop on Photoionization (IWP) 2008 will be held in Sätra Brunn Conference Center (www.satrabrunn.se), near Uppsala, in the period June 15-19, 2008, and it will be chaired by Maria Novella Piancastelli and by Svante Svensson, Physics Department, Uppsala University. Some preliminary information can be found on this site.
During the workshop, we are planning to hold a memorial session in honor of Prof. Kai Siegbahn, Nobel Laureate and founder of core-level photoionization spectroscopy, or ESCA (Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis), who recently passed away.
